I don't know if I should be looking for more but I'm just looking. Right now I have:

Ebay
Actionscript.org
Adorama
A List Apart {web standards web site}
Allrecipes.com
Allrecipes.com - Ingredients Search
Amazon Books
Amazon Popular Music
Brands of World {logos of several thousand companies in EPS format}
Calorie King

del.icio.us tag {I've never used del.icio.us but want to start}
Dice Job Search
Download.com/Mac
Food Network Recipes
The Free Dictionary
Getty Images
Google Images
IMDB
iStockPhoto
Macromedia
ActionScript Dictionary
MacUpdate
New York Public Library
Oanda GBP/EUR {currency exchange; I'm plotting my day to move to Europe}
PHP-Fusion.co.uk Forum Search
phpBB.com
PHP Documentation
PSC-PHP
Weather.com
WebMD
Webster Dicitionary

I don't use Yahoo, Answers at all and have been meaning to remove them eventually. I got all of mine beyond the pre-installed ones here: [mycroft.mozdev.org].

On a semi-related note, how many are too many? As in, when do they & too many extensions start to slow down your brower?

Plug ins? Those look more like bookmarks to me. I try not to clutter my Firefox Bookmarks Toolbar with anything more than the bare essentials, which, for me, is my ISP login for mail, Google, Macresource, and a couple of other forums I visit frequently. Anything else is just a bookmark to be added to the list as far as I'm concerned.

Good Gravy,
How much time do you spend on the computer?

Don't sass me boy.

I have to spend a lot of time on the computer...I'm a freelancer. I spend about 1.5 - 2 hours a day just emailing to keep everything in check. I have a round of invoices to do this evening for example.

A lot of those engines are creative stuff anyway, like iStockphoto, Brands of the World, Actionscript, etc.

AlphaDog,

Mycroft plug-ins are essentially the same as Sherlock 2 plug-ins and are
used to expand the search capabilities of Mozilla based browsers.
Instead of having to navigate to froogle, Amazon, eBay, etc. and then
begin your search, you can simply select the appropriate plug-in and
type in the keywords you are seeking. If you click on the link from the
parent post, you will find hundreds of such plug-ins and information
about the project.

I frequently use WannaBe, a text web browser for the classic Mac OS, and
this browser is compatible with the same plug-in architecture. I find
using WannaBe and select key plug-ins suffice for 75% of my browsing
needs. I wrote an article for Low End Mac detailing my use of WannaBe
and Mycroft/Sherlock 2 plug-ins. You can find the article here:
[lowendmac.com]

Hopefully this information will help understand Mycroft plug-ins. Sorry
it took so long for me to post to this thread, but my internet
connection has wafted between slow and off. Hey, 6 hours to post is not
so bad.

Sorry to answer so late, I've been galavanting in the NYC snow all day.

The ActionScript Dictionary lets you search said dictionary at Macromedia/Adobe's site for the definitions of all functions, properties, etc. such as goto, parseFloat, random, etc.

The dicitionary is located here: [www.macromedia.com].

I hope this helps.
