Well if no one else gives you one...

LLLLLLEEEEEEAAAAADDDDDDEEEEEERRRRR!!!!!!!

All I can tell you is I am running 10.4.4 on my Dual G5 2.0 PCI-X with absolutely no problems. I run all of Adobe's apps and Quark. Very, very stable for me.

I am using 10.4.4 with no problems at all on an iBook G4. Adobe apps but no Quark. Even Micro$oft Office is playing well with it.

Good luck!

Didn't your new G5 come with Tiger, 10.4.4 already installed? Or is it 10.4.x, and you have to do the updates? If you need to update, just install 10.4.4 with all the latest other system updates, including QuickTime 7.0.4. I've got the complete Adobe Creative Suite CS2 Premium, DreamWeaver, Final Cut Express, iLife '05 (you'll have '06), Quark, FileMaker Pro, and a couple dozen other applications installed and it all works perfect with 10.4.4.

Don't forget to use DiskWarrior Rev. 39, v3.0.3 (if you have it), on the Directory of your boot HDrive before/after a major update; same with Reparing Permissions. It's a good idea to use DiskWarrior once a month or so as a preventive measure also, just to keep things humming along.

Did I forget something?

You get a PowerMac G5
