Eggnog sucks.

It's like drinking pancake batter.

Make it into a Christmas Nipple:

1 oz. Eggnog
1 oz. Bailey's
1 oz. Butterscotch Schnapps

Stir ingredients together over ice in a coffee mug, and serve.

I like eggnog. I don't drink it much, because it is so rich and fattening, but I like the taste.

I like a good egg nog.

Egg nog ice cream is tasty, too.

But yeah... sooo fattening, I'm glad it's only once a year.

Homemade Eggnog - makes a punch bowl full

1 doz eggs separated
1 c sugar
1 qt whole milk
1qt heavy cream
1pint brandy
1 c rum
nutmeg to garnish

Beat egg yolks with sugar until pale yellow in color - add the brandy, rum and milk.

Beat cream until lightly whipped - fold into the above

Beat the egg whites until stiff and fold in. Garnish with grated nutmeg.

If making ahead, do the first step and refrigerate - covered. Do the cream and the whites right before serving.

I just (half an hour ago) bought a carton of pumpkin egg nog. It's like drinking a pumpkin pie. I'm not quite sure I love it, but I think I like it.

I like homemade eggnog. However, isn't it about 10 bazillion calories per cup?

How dare you question the sanctity of the 'nog?

Sure, it's calorie-ridden and fat-heavy, but at this time of year, what isn't?
I loves me some nog... but you sharp readers knew that:

Only if you light it on fire!

yeah, i just bought some Garelick egg nog and it was horrible. the Horizons organic brand i bought last week (they sell this at Target) was pretty darned good. and, yes, the homemade kind would kick butt.

Hurts like a bastid...
