Is NBC reception popping in and out at your place tonight?

NBC's reception is popping in and out on both the Cable and the
OTA antenna tonight with HD signal. Is this happening for
anyone else? Ticks me off when it does stuff like that when an
American is winning. That Chad Hedrick can skate!

It's been doing this with the Olympic coverage all day. It's getting on my nerves.

I've had so many problems with my previous Motorola PVRs that I thought the cutting in and out was a problem with my new (replaced yesterday with the latest version) DCT6416.

I had been given one of this same model three days before and it constantly rebooted over and over until I felt like taking a hammer to it.

Anyway, the new one seemed fine until the NBC reception problem started happening for me.

I was wondering about the source of the problem until I saw your post. It was as if you read my mind because I now know that the problem is with NBC's broadcast and not my setup.

Thank you for giving me some peace of mind.

NBC = "Nothing But Commercials"

I was actually looking forward to the Olympics. That is, until I got a taste of NBC's coverage.

I just can't get into them with all the commercials and fluff. For example:

two downhill runs (90 seconds apiece)
commercials (3 - 4 minutes)
olympic bump - you know the one, they show scenes from the Alps, the town of Torino, and the opening ceremonies (30 - 60 seconds)
competitor back story / commentator BS (2 - 4 minutes)

So, for every 10 to 12 minutes, I get to see about 3 minutes of actual "Olympics".
