QUICK: a friend is about to buy a new laptop, and I might convince him to buy a Mac

I am gonna suggest to him to watch that Leopard video (if I can still find it on Apple's site). I told him that he can also run Windows so he can have the best of both worlds (he's a tech person, he uses Solid Works). Of course I am gonna tell him to wait till next week after MWSF to see what comes out.

Any other videos that you might suggest to make him switch?

thanks

“Human rights can only be assured among a virtuous people. The general government ... can never be in danger of degenerating into a monarchy, an oligarchy, an aristocracy, or any other despotic or oppressive form, so long as there shall remain any virtue in the body of the people.” — George Washington

as a solidworks and inventor user... i can readily laud the bootcamp feature
of leopard. i switch over whenever i need to do work at home. but only use
bootcamp for those programs alone...

when parallels first came out with v3, i tried the demo but did not like the
performance with these two programs. so i would recommend BC that
comes with leopard over parallels..

my 2 cents

The SolidWorks site says that only the ATI FireGL and Nvidia Quadro cards are recommended. Only a handfull of PC laptops have these. Does the MacBook Pro you have do a good job at accelerating RealView funcitons?
