I think I'm going to buy an additional gig of RAM for my MDD 867 (anybody have two 512 MB modules for sale?).

What is the difference (more specifically, is one better than the other) between these two modules for sale with OWC (our sponsor):

They are two different types. One is a PC2700 running at 333MHz and the other is a PC3200 running at 400MHz. Which one does the MDD call for?

Sorry..should have been more clear. The OWC page for my MDD 867 says that either one will work. That's why I wondered what the difference would be in terms of if one was preferrable. I think there is only about a dollar price difference.

The CL 2.5 would theoretically be a wee bit faster if all the modules in the machine were CAS 2.5. maybe 1-1.5% faster.

the 3200 vs 2700 won't matter, as the MDD takes either 2100 or 2700. I think the first slow MDDs took 2100.

My 867 had 2100's and when recently "kicking to the last knotch" with two 512's to get to 2g's, I donated the 256's to my local Apple authorized repair guys at MacSolutions. Never hurts to be friendly with the those who care when Applecare runs out. Checking "About my Mac" shows them at 2600, should have got the whitewalls.
