It's not an InteliMac. It's an iMac G5.

My old 1GHz G4 was getting too slow for work. I had to upgrade but didn't want to drop serious cash on a dual G5 with the Intel Mac Towers and Adobe Universal support coming soon. This is a nice little stop gap for the time being.

I got it from Amazon for $1,350 with no tax and $3.99 overnight shipping (use the Amazon Prime free trial).

Now for a stupid question on my part. What does "Leader" mean? smiling smiley

Steven Jobs is our "Leader". Fearless, peerless, tearless.
We sacrifice our greenbacks to the mother ship in Cupertino, CA. One Infinite Loop is our desire.

Those who so sacrifice and announce (with proper humility, of course) their loyalty to the cult of the Leader, receive a "LEADER!" in return. A cup of the corporate Kool-Aid awaits.

Well, not really.

It all started at the other forum, over there, [forums.dealmac.com]
(now archived).

The silly among us (me included), continue the tradition. It's our way of saying "congratulations" and "welcome to the club of expended funds".

LEADER!

Especially if the gear purchased is a new issue, a just released machine or iPod, for example.

LEADER!

It's surprising how well that will run light stuff on 512MB.

But 2.5G will make it and you quite happy!

Yeah, It's running on 512MB now until my 2GB stick arrives. I am VERY impressed on how well it runs on the stock RAM. Then again considering what I am upgrading from It's not that hard to impress me!

Thanks for the Leader definition.
