First post from a nurses station in Saddleback Hospital.

I was wandering around the halls after being awakened at 3:45 AM to take my "vitals."

Fortunately, I had made friends with a number of the staff since my admitance on Valentine's Day. Bummer! sad smiley (my admittance, not the staff)

Anyway, since I couldn't go back to sleep, I decided to "take a walkabout" as one of my nurses who was from from Zimbawe referred to it.

In a flash of inspiration, I asked if any of the many work stations could go online? Yes! I was told and here I am, reaching out to my friends on the forum to keep a good thought for me this morning around 9 AM PDT when I have a bronchoscopy to determine why I've been coughing up blood.

If things work out well, I'll be home tonight to check back and see how things are going on the forum.

Btw, if there hadn't been another power outage while I was gone, my trusty G5 would have been folding away all this time.

Oh well! back on when I get home.

Thanks blooz!

I'm not doing any procrastinating at this point, altough the big "C" was mentioned as a "slight" possibility.

I'll be glad when the procedure is over and I have some answers.

I may have to get off this computer soon, so it may be a little while before I can check in again.

Thanks everyone.

I just got home after being released from the hospital.

The doctor who performed the bronchoscopy said that there was no sign of where the the bleeding had come from,

Although the cat-scan showed some sort of anomaly, he felt that the possibility of cancer was slim.

Now I have to wait for the results of the "brush" biopsy and that may lead to a "real" biopsy, but for now I'm home, I'm on a medrol kit and I'm happy to be back online from my trusty G5.

It was great to come home to your messages smiling smiley

Thanks for the further well wishes.

I hate to say that I still don't have an answer as to what has been causing me to cough up blood. For now, I'm taking oral steroids which seem to be helping some since what I'm coughing up isn't as bloody.

The real bad part is that I just don't feel like doing anything, including projects with my G5.

I am folding, though smiling smiley
