E.S. Posthumus... anyone else a fan?

Wondering if anyone else here knows of the group E.S. Posthumus?
[en.wikipedia.org]

Hard to fit into a genre, they are a neo-classical-orchestral-new agey-
ethnic-choral-rocking group! Soaring strings, strong brass, and Latin-sung
choruses bump shoulders with electric guitars and pounding drums. If you
are a fan of movie scores/orchestral music, you would probably be a fan.
(and this group was doing it long before the '300' soundtrack)

Much of their music has been featured in movie trailers, especially the piece
"Nara", which is also now used as the theme to Cold Case. They also wrote
the music to The NFL on CBS. [en.wikipedia.org]

• Their first CD, Unearthed was released in 2001. It is some great timeless music.

• Their new CD, Cartographer was just released. It is a 2CD set that features tracks
with vocals on CD1, and remixed instrumental versions of those same songs on CD2.

Listening now... good stuff!

Reminds me of the music Stewart Copeland did years ago for "The Equalizer" (great show).

Unearthed is one of my favorites. Their songs are used in a lot of movies/trailers - eg. Pompei = Spiderman trailer.

I'll check out the new CD.

Are they any relation to former Michigan Lt. Governor Dick Posthumus?

I'll check out the new CD.

A heads-up - CD2 of the new one is more of the classic 'Unearthed' ES style.
CD1 is fine too, but it is done with a more "soothing vocals" vibe. Good as well,
just a different feel from 'Unearthed'. I think both are fitting for different moods.
