I'm just as free to consolidate them as you are to post them all. You said you "couldn't" consolidate them into one post. I just showed you how to do it for future reference. I figured the only reason you didn't do it already was because you didn't know how. Now you do.

The moderators of the forum get to decide what stays and what goes.

I think Newton's freebies are an asset to this forum. I can simply not click on the ones that don't interest me. I see no advantage to scanning down through a single thread vs. scanning down the front page of the forum. Why does a fun thing like freebies have to become an "issue"?

Newt, this seems to be a touchy subject lately - what about doing a poll thread and see which way most people here prefer to see the deals posted? You know how everyone loves to weigh in on poll threads. ;)

I think just about everyone appreciates your posting the deals for us. Some have lower thresholds for seeing lots of separate threads on a page and would prefer a consolidation of them. Others want to skim the index page and see right in the subject line what the deal is for. I can see merit in both.

Just a suggestion, feel completely free to ignore it. ;)

I just skip over most of the ones I am not interested in. Is it that big of a deal for a growing forum?

MAybe if other people posted deals too then it would not be an issue.

I agree completely that the freebies are an asset to the forum. I appreciate the time that he takes to hunt them all down and format them for the forum. I'm not singling out Newton, it doesn't matter who posts the freebies. Its just nice to have them all in one place.

The only reason I did this was because many people were complaining about all the extra threads.

I also like them separate. I can click the ones I like and ignore the others....

Be careful, this is how we lost SteveG and his Futurecasts at the other place years ago...

Keep up the freebies as is Newt...

Much appreciated.
