Writer's strike -- lots of abbreviated TV show "seasons" this year. Las Vegas{/i] already had their season finale after what seemed like six episodes or so.

"24" is done, at least as we knew it. When Jack comes back he is going to be kinder and gentler. It's 24 gone politically correct so don't expect any "on the brink, over the edge" tactics like Jack shocking someone with a lamp cord to get some fast answers. One of the creators, Joel Surnow resigned unofficially b/c it didn't like the turn "24" was taking.
