OH SHOVEL ! Time to dig out from the "Blizzard of '08"

Woofa. It's been snowing heavily since Friday afternoon, and it finally quit this morning. weather guys said it was an official blizzard (I don't know the requirements, but I think it has to do with wind and snowfall combined). Fortunately I got the snowblower fixed in time, and have dug out the drive twice. The secondary streets got plowed this morning, so there' s the usual snowplow berm in front of the drive.

The dogs went out the back door, and our brave chihuahua just disappeared into a 3 foot deep snowdrift. We heard a muffled "yip" !. And then she struggled back out, came inside, and gave me a dirty look. The Pomeranian loves the snow- she's bouncing around like a miniature Husky

Glad to hear the snowblower is operational.

Living in NH, it melts my brain when I see people on the news out here who don't have a snowblower - yet they're not out there in the summer cutting their lawn with a pair of scissors.

NE Ohio- Cleveland area. Columbus got hit worse, but we still got stomped. Still, not as bad as the snow in '96 and the BIG blizzard of '78- which was considered a "Snow Hurricane" by all the weather folk.

That's still less than my son. He has about 27" in Thompson and had a semi jack-knifed in front of his house most of the day yesterday. That's on state route 528. Even after shoveling, he couldn't go anywhere. Another 100' or so he might have lost his car that was parked closer to street so he would have less to shovel. We only have 22" here next to cbelt3.

You whiners think you have it so bad.

Yesterday the wind was blowing hard enough that I could hear the neighbor's flag pole
flapping, and then there's that damn dog barking. Plus, it was drizzling when I went to
get the mail last night.

You aren't the only ones with weather troubles.

WEEDS?

We don't have any weeds until June or July.

Jimmypoo,

You haven't seen wind until you spend a year in Iowa. The wind blows just about every freakin' day. It's so bad; I write the days down when the wind isn't blowing. I never made it past 10 last year

I hate the month of March. Always the wildest of weather and expect the unexpected.
Had a mere 20" snow fall this weekend here in WNY.
