Tonight's brew is...

...Whitstable Bay. This is an organic (and vegetarian!) beer from the UK's oldest brewery, Shepherd Neame. They come from Faversham in Kent which is the garden county of England. The bottle had been sitting in my 'cellar' since our holiday last September down that way although like most beers they are available locally to us as well.

Does the keyboard short out any differently when spilling organic ale on it (in comparison to cheap american dreck)?

I've heard it sucks it up with a sweet singing sound reminiscent of old folk songs and then each key gets assigned a different note. Haven't heard it myself as I NEVER SPILL A DROP!

Have you had the Young's Double Chocolate Stout? I had that recently at a beer festival and it was very tasty.

I thought that might be a bit gimmicky but was pleasantly surprised although I expected a 'thicker' brew more conducive to its rich dark colour. Seemed thinner than I thought it should be.

I can see it being labeled organic, but are other breweries adding beef extracts or something so that it does not qualify as vegetarian? drinking smiley

Most brewers use isinglass to help speed up the clarification of the brew and that comes from sturgeon.
