Count me in unfortunately.

May your day be shiny and bright.

Man, it's so cold here in SoCal I can hardly type right.

"has to" may be over-stating it. But when one works for themselves... no workie, no money!

I work from home, so yes I am working but I don't have to go into an office.

When I did work in offices, I never, ever had President's Day as a holiday.

Guess who got really lucky today, my husband. He has jury duty. Apparently the state of Georgia does not take President's Day off. Poor hubby.

I'm at a state college in GA right now. Local schools are off, we're working. Our students are looking hostile as they come to class!

Me, except I made plans to take the day off even before I remembered it was a holiday. I never worked anywhere that I recall that had today off.

Interestingly enough, I've had the Billy Joel song "Allentown" going through my mind this morning.

I have my own little business here at home, so yes - I'm working. When I *was* working "regular" jobs I never did work at one that gave President's Day off though.

I'm working but, like MacMission, I work at home so I'm not going anywhere, per se.

That said, it's weird having the kids off of school today. Back in New Orleans, we bypassed Presidents Day (and a couple other holidays) and had a week off for Mardi Gras/Ash Wednesday.

Strange to be in a town where next Tuesday is just another Tuesday.

President's Day is not a national holiday, you know.

George Washington's Birthday IS.

I took a couple of vacations days Friday and Monday. So I don't have to work today, but not because of any holiday.

Ha.
I've seen the Miamians all bundled up in winter coats, hats and mittens when it's 70ºF.
More funny when you just jumped off the plane from Ma. where it was 0ºF when you left, and you're standing there in short sleeves wondering where everyone went. smiling smiley

Working.
Hospitals don't recognize holidays, for people that work with the patients, that is.

Funny line from a tee shirt I got many years ago-

#1 reason to become a nurse:
You get to spend all the holidays with your friends-
at the hospital!
