So what do you have to look forward to this week?

I'll probably be sharing breakfast, lunch and dinner with my wife every day this week (as usual.) She's got a good friend coming into town that she hasn't seen in a couple years.

I'm excited as I have a lot of good work lined up with good clients. I have a couple problems to work out with one old client and I know as long as I do what's right, it will all work out well. In addition to my great current work, an old college called me up and has a project with a significant budget the wants me to handle for him as he remembers what good customer service I give. The more I look into that project, the better it looks. I also created a new relationship with someone else in my field and we both seem very like minded.

I'm going to use my time a little better this week.

It sounds like we might be getting some checks from some work we did for a non-profit who told us they wanted to pay us after we volunteered and did the work. That'll pay for a new bed and fridge.

What are you guys looking forward to this week?

This is hell week.

Taxes on Monday (I have to pay in; why do that early?).

2 magazines due a few days apart.

Some 12-14 hour days this week. After next Monday; I will have 18 days off. Time to catch up on home projects.

It's been non-stop since January 7th. Outside of two weekends in Wisconsin (one of those for a funeral) and one day with the wife and kids shopping; I've been sitting right here working away every day.

Not complaining in the least but I need a break.

him carry me, and yet assure myself and others
that I am very sorry for him and wish to ease his
lot by all possible means — except by getting off
his back. - Leo Tolstoy, novelist and Philosopher

An old friend who runs an art dept. needs help getting a company catalog done so i have some part-time work which gets me out of the house for a couple days a week.
One of my daughters may come up at the end of the week for a couple days. With her dog, which will give Malibu someone to play with so he won't bug me so much.

And spring is coming to the hills. I might even be able to turn the soil in the garden and rake the road junk off the lawn.

And we should consider every day lost on which we have not danced at least once.

I'm finally starting my French lessons this week. It took forever to get things rolling (or, the usual in France). I'm looking forward to understanding more of the lunch-time conversations with my co-workers from now on. I tried to make it clear that my goal was to learn French and that I didn't want them to speak English (all the time). Whether they're honoring that, or just not speaking English because they don't want to, I don't know. But it works out for me either way.

I've been eating well and not gaining any weight. I will start running again this week and try and get things on the downward trend. Looking forward to running down the Champs Élysées at 6 AM when it is empty.

My daughter is speaking more French and getting a French accent. It should supplant her southern drawl by the end of the year.
