I have a signature I use with e-mails that includes a logotype and some text. It was working fine for a couple of years. A couple of weeks ago, the logo would appear at a fraction of its proper size. If deleted the space above the logo, it would go back to it's normal size (approximately 4" wide and 1" tall.)

Today, I decided to delete the signature and recreate it to hopefully fix this problem. No such luck. No matter what I do, the logo appears in miniature form. It even looks miniature in the signature editor in Mail.app.

I am using OS X 10.4.11 and Mail 2.1.3. The logotype is an EPS created in Freehand. I import it into Photoshop (I no longer have a current version of Freehand to work from) and I save it as a JPEG. I then copy it and paste it into the Mail.app signature editor.

Any idea of what could be causing this?

288 x 71 - I also tried it in the original size of 555 x 129 pixels with similar results

I tried 300 ppi and 72 ppi both. Same results.

Save for web instead of saving it normally.
