Not having my MBP with me. Having to use brother's Toshiba Satellite A305-S6825 running Vista which for whatever reason it can't see neither a CD nor DVD disc. Perhaps missing/incompatible driver? Needing an app? I don't know I just need to install Ecel and Access 07. TiA

BTW, avoid buying this model of Toshiba. The keys are so slick and slippery. There is no room for your hands to rest while using the touchpad.

Sounds like a Vista problem. It should just mount and show up under 'My Computer'.

Had the same thing happen to me in a Sony Vaio laptop a while back. In Windows, YOU need to open the appropriate program to play the media you're inserting. Open the general help file and, look for advise on playing movies, music etc. If you're not Windows savvy, it'll take a while to find the right program on that particular computer.

Yep, Testcase is right. After you play the CD the next step is to INSTALL XP and get rid of VISTA ! ! ! ! !

My brother has agreed to let me downgrade the POS to XP Pro SP3. It will take sometime; I need to create an Access file hence I have to use Windows
