theres one in a target, which is one store away from the one in barnes and noble, which is across the street from another one, and one light up is another one, which is 3 lights away from another one, which is 1 ramp away from another... and so on... none are more than 1 minute from each other

Those are some of the most profitable ones. They're in high demand areas where they can't meet the demand with just one store.

Most of those a private contracts and I doubt they're effected by this.
Bits like this make me laugh...

Starbucks may have once served good coffee at all their locations, but not any more. Too many places do not have the proper training for their staff to get it right.

Training? Starbucks uses automated machines. There's no human skills needed for brewing coffee at starbucks.

Automatic machines still require proper maintenance, cleaning and loading to work right. Still can not make up for improperly measured coffee, whether due to human error or a machine out of calibration. Training is also needed to know when that is happening. Nor will improperly stored coffee come out well. I have seen all of that at their stores and outlets.

Maybe it's just me but I was never comfortable going to Starbucks. They have crazy made up names for everything and they act snobby if you don't order using their names.
Me: "I'll have a large coffee."
Starbucks dude: "Oh, you must mean Grande Mochblasterifica. Unbelievable."
I just saw this story on MSNBC. They blamed the Starbucks closings on the poor economy. While I do think that has a little to do with it I think it's more to do with a poor business plan. Over saturation of markets, overpriced coffee, and growing compeition doesn't equal success in any economy.
