Try and distill the file as an X1:a PDF. And don't send native files. No one wants to deal with keeping track of all the fonts, pictures, etc.

But what, exactly, can be adjusted in the native file?
The idea that native files are LESS troubleprone than a wrapped-up PDF is rather laughable. I may be new to InDesign, but I've been sending publications to the printer for 35 years, including the last 20 with PageMaker.
