I have a domain registered with GoDaddy. I'm tired of all the in-your-face advertising and graphics on every page, to the point that it's hard to find what I'm looking for. Is it feasible to move it to another registrar, if that's the right term. I had a brief look at Google. Is that a good spot for it?

I have one account with GoDaddy on a 10 year renewal. I really not too interested in doing business with them anymore due to their advertising, but have like 5 years to decide.

My second is with 1&1 and they only do a year renewals (make sure your credit card is up to date, they have a $20 penalty if it is not on renewal day).

I am looking for a third, better choice.

Note hosting is not provided by either, though the second is hosted on Google Apps.

You can definitely transfer domain registration..very easy to do. I'm with Namecheap.

My domains are all registered with [www.namecheap.com], as well. It's been great for me.

I went with namecheap.com also.

I transferred at least two names from GoDaddy to namecheap.com because I couldn't stand GoDaddy's annoyances anymore.
