This whole digital photography may catch on yet. More power to him because that is a whole lot of burgers to be flipping and 9 months later he had his baby.

I doubt 9 months of McDonalds overtime would've yielded that kind of filthy lucre, but you my friend are...

I guess I should clarify that it is a comment left by a reviewer on the provided link. The last time I worked at that place was when I was in high school.

I know you were kidding. I'm anxious to see how it works for you though I'll never need that kind of firepower myself.

I currently run a 1DS Mark 2 and that is plenty of horsepower for me. I don't have any clients that need 21mp at the moment. If need be, I will leave the Golden Arches as an option. I will most likely wait another year and buy when the price goes lower because of competition from Sony and Nikon.

I checked out Hasselblad prices for the first time in a couple of decades and I actually lost the power of speech for a minute or two after I saw the prices.

The 30 megapixel models go for $30-40K for the body and one basic lens, and they've got a 50 megapixel model on the way, that I'm assuming will involve an armored car hijacking and a blood sacrifice to buy.

Maybe I should check out pricing on Sinar view cameras. That will probably get me to a state where I can apply for disability payments and take a month or two off. :-)

It comes with your choice of former presidential candidates that will talk and robber's ear off or blow them away with hot air.

Well, there's the Hasselblad and then there is the digital back. Makes film look like a bargain with all the develpoing costs.

No, the quotation marks indicated to me that you were, um, quoting somebody.

IThe last time I worked at that place was when I was in high school.

Same here. But the difference between you and I is that the minimum wage I was paid was $1.35/hr.

I was lucky to afford a Kodak Instamatic and some flash cubes.

and you could pass on and mark up the film and lab fees too. Now it is all overhead/capital expense stuff.
