Apple Hardware Test ? Date: February 28, 2006 01:38PM |
I'm getting ready to run the Hardware test. Is it really
necessary to remove the Adaptec SCSI card and the extra Rage
128 PCI Video card? I'm going to remove all the other
unnecessary crap like the printer, scanner, extra monitor, etc
but I hate to have to remove the desk door, the tower won't clear the
hinges, of the desk just to yank those card but if need to I will.

Grateful, most of the hardware tests will run independent of whatever extra hardware you have on there. So I would have said -- just leave things exactly as they are, and run the hardware test. If the test fails, you can always see what the error message(s) is, and then remove it, but it probably won't be necessary. The tests run fast enough that that makes more sense to me...
