I accidentally got an iPhone...

and then Monster WIfe had to accidentally get one too.

So there I was at the Freehold Mall 9n NJ on 8-8-8, I noticed there was an AT&T store there so I went in to ask few question about switching services from Verizon, plans, corporate discounts, how long it would take to get the iPhone if I ordered it, etc....

So after talking to the very helpful employee (Jeff), I decided to think about it, or hold off on it for now, most likely for a couple more weeks or so, but wait...

as I was walking away from the store there just happened to be an Apple Store in the Mall, and there was a short line of people waiting outside, so I asked the Apple Wrangler in charge of the line, if the line was for purchasing an iPhone (which I didn't think possible since it was already after three), and he said yes, it indeed was.

Things that make you go hmmm...

so I went back to the AT&T store, to quickly ask a couple more questions, such as if I bought the phone today, what would be the hassle of getting my wife's corp. discount added to the plan since I, at the time, did not know her discount number, and of course this would be a new account, "but wait" - said a manager, the regional manager just happens to be in the back, maybe she can help.
So out she came, went to the computer, and got the corp. discount number for us, this way - if I decided to go get the iPhone at the Apple Store I could apply the discount to the newly created account.

Well then, I went back to the Apple Store (the Apple Wrangler gave me a ticket for a phone before I had walked away), got in the slightly longer line, and waited, waited, waited, but at least I had a nice chat with a very pleasant looking, well tanned, spaghetti strap low cut tank shirt wearing, and very short shorts tramp stamp showing tight in all the right places, European woman.
At one point I had to set down (my foot was killing me), and I got to see just how well those shorts were made.

Okay, so I get my iPhone, with a temporary number, go back to the Apple Store, get my number ported over, let Monster Daughter pick out a phone, port her number, applied the corp. discount, and away we went.

Then later that night comes Monster Wife, "OOOHHH..., I might just have to get one of those", she moaned (this after saying she didn't want one), but then she said she was just kidding.

Yesterday we went to an AT&T store a little closer to home so that Monster WIfe could pick out a phone, port her number, and I could make sure the Verizon account was cancelled, but wait a minute!, she couldn't decide on a phone, and at the last minute decides she wants, yep... an iPhone.

The sales guy (Davon) was very helpful throughout our entire time at the store, he even ported over all my phone numbers from my Verizon phone (I just happened to bring it over in case they could do it, and save me from doing it myself).

So yes, this weekend I accidentally got an iPhone, and so did Monster Wife.

So what did Monsterwife say when you gave her all the gory details on your linewaiting companion?

"In science it often happens that scientists say, 'You know that's a really good argument; my position is mistaken,' and then they would actually change their minds and you never hear that old view from them again. They really do it. It doesn't happen as often as it should, because scientists are human and change is sometimes painful. But it happens every day. I cannot recall the last time something like that happened in politics or religion." (1987) -- Carl Sagan

she doesn't know... yet

but I'm sure she will, because I posted this on another forum that she reads.

I'm sure my wife would have liked her too.

How many times do we have to tell people that descriptions like these...

... a very pleasant looking, well tanned, spaghetti strap low cut tank shirt wearing, and very short shorts tramp stamp showing tight in all the right places, European woman. At one point I had to set down (my foot was killing me), and I got to see just how well those shorts were made.

are useless without pictures?

So what if it's a thread about an iPhone purchase.
