I wanted to ask everyone’s opinion about posting Happy Birthdays here. I have been posting the Birthday Spectacles at DM since joycee asked me to help out last summer. I have decided to stop posting them at DM, there is a thread there that explains why. If you care, you can check it out.

My question is, do you want me to continue the tradition of birthday announcements over here? If the majority want it, then I will post a sign-up thread later and we can get a fresh up to date list. If the majority says forget about it, then so be it.

Please let me know how you feel.

PS. There are some birthdays coming up in the next few days. I'm going to post those until we get a consensus, just so no one's feelings are hurt.

Yes, of course, by all means keep up with the B'Day spectaculars. It's just another way to tell them over there that they can't keep the power from the people.

rgG, you do such a wonderful job with the birthdays - I'm glad that you're willing to continue them! You make everyone feel so special, which was the original goal when I first started doing them all those years ago.

Have you thought about what you'll call them here? On the other forum, they were "Obligatory" in homage to all of the "Obligatory Apple Store posts" and they were "Spectacles" in homage to Randy B <[forums.dealmac.com]; (I miss him!).

It seems like we need to come up with a fresh and unique title for them here in their new home, ya think?
