You shouldn't have left it in the dumpster! ;)

Check ebay and craigslist, I've read that those boxes are worth money, and that thief might try to make a quick buck that way.

If you find one that looks like yours, just casually ask the guy for the serial number that's on the sticker on the box, because you want to make sure that you can get AppleCare for that valuable box (he won't suspect a thing). If it matches your serial number, then call the cops.

I almost swung my car over to the side of the road to trash-pick one last week.
