If I didn't get Noggin I don't know if I would see it as a channel I wouldn't get. That said I believe you would get them knowing what I am currently unable and able to select. There are options that make you pay for something like Starz. I subscribe to HBO and Encore and get the OD options but not Starz because I don't subscribe to it. I know those are premium channels but thought I would mention that.

Call Comcast for certain. I think you would because they are select choices from Comcast. I have yet to see a kids program not be available unless they just aren't showing up for me to see at all. Options like "Something Weird" show up but you pay for them.

I just tried to answer this question from the perspective of my service, and it didn't make sense even to me! The bottom line is, around here, I don't think any network programming is available through On Demand that isn't available through your regular service with them. Plus, in my experience, even if a network/channel is part of my package, that doesn't mean programs from it are available through On Demand. Make sense?

Is "Noggin" a real channel? It sounds like a kids channel, and I don't have any of those.

I think the answer to both questions might be "no," although perhaps not for the reason you assume. I know I can get On Demand programming, but I don't have one of the higher packages.

Edit: I read lipskidder's response after I posted mine and laughed to see him say he was having trouble typing something that made sense, too! I don't know what there is about the question, but it sure is hard to compose the answer! Call Comcast.

You get On Demand as that is the vehicle for pay per view movies. You can see the listings for On Demand offerings outside your package, you just can't access them. For example I can see the HBO On Demand listings, but I just get a message urging me to subscribe to HBO if I try and choose one of the movies.

You can only watch programming from channels you get as part of your particular cable package.

The system isn't set up for it, yet.
Call them, they might sell you a "Package" for a few bucks that includes "Noggin".
"On Demand" is a whole other setup, it is for movies, "Adult" entertainment, sports, special events, stuff like that.
You do know that ComCast can explain all this stuff to you don't you?
Also, they have a whole website setup just for folks to get info from.

On Demand is a whole other setup, but it does include On Demand programming for some cable channels like Bravo and A&E, and Noggin is one the the channels included in that aspect. Not the full schedule, but select programming.

All this may vary by vendor, of course.

This is Comcr@p you are talking about. Yeah, they have a web site, but near half the stuff I have looked up was wrong for my local Comcast service. Including at one time having the wrong channel line-up posted for nearly 6 months. Also only lists some of the available packages. As for calling, if you are lucky calling here, you might get someone who knows more than what is on the web site. Usually less knowledgeable. So you may get good results calling or looking at the web site, it is not universal.

we have phone/cable/internet with HD and DVR (and noggin) for $120 a month -- and although they are called everything under the sun -- comcast has pretty much been 100% all the time for us -- and have been for years, like 10+...

In the Portland, Oregon area Noggin, along with about 45 other channels is listed as part of DIGITAL CLASSIC. I get that package, because my wife watches about 4 hours a day of GSN (Game Show Network).
