This is a desperate plea, really. And I apologize up front if I am wrong in posting this, as per forum policy. But, a close young friend lost her iphone Friday nite (apparently it slid out of her open purse inside a grocery cart, and when she went back to the store to look, it was long gone, of course). She would prefer to stay with the 1st version, but is leary about dealing with an unknown vendor on ebay. Since I trust the people on this forum, I thought I'd at least ask if anyone knows of any reputable 1st gen iphone for sale to please PM me.

Try craigslist and have them meet you at a Apple store, but that does depend on if your near a Apple store and if Craigslist is any good in your area. Also you may look at ATT and see if they have any refurbs, I bought two through them, great deal.
