OT: Those insurance selling cavemen aren't funny anymore
Posted by: pRICE cUBE

IMO, the latest commercials are devoid of wit or humor. A caveman at a therapist having issues was pretty funny and original. Now it is just the cavemen seeing a billboard or scoreboard and walking off. I think it is time to retire them and Jared the sandwich guy.

They were never funny. What does a caveman have to do with insurance anyway?

I agree. But I'd also add the Mac & PC guys from the Apple ads.

It looks like that TV series that they created based on that caveman was canceled after just 6 episodes.

Wow! I knew someday I'd find someone who thought those commercials were funny and original, but I never thought it would be so soon!

Never funny. Same with the gecko or the dancing baby.

But what's even more ridiculous are their rates.

I never found the commercials even amusing. Same with the gecko and dancing baby.

But I *still* crack up at the Mac/PC commercials. Long's near deadpan is OK, but Hodgeman (sp?) sells it. Cracks me up.

I found the commercials very funny. Until the last one, that is.

Not nearly as funny as the new comedy team of Gates/Seinfeld!

I'm the guy that enjoyed the television program that was "Cavemen." Yes. That was me. I don't care what any of you think. My name is vision63, and I laughed (not necessarily out loud) at the show.

Well, if you saw the show as a metaphor for homosexuality...maybe....

The first couple of commercials were pretty funny.
This one is just blah.
Part of it is the new actor, but mostly the concept just wore out its welcome.

I didn't think it was possible for me to have a lower opinion of vision63 than I already do, but...

I am not Ryan Seacrest, and I do not approve this message.

Hey, at least I'm honest. My therapist approves. I feel much better now. I'm not even going to mention that it led right into "Carpoolers." Which I watched. Twice.

I do like the commercial with "Mrs. Butterworth"......I like when she says "Someone has put a logo right over my face".
