I'm 45 min into it and I'm not bored, but I need more to happen.

I'm not digging it and I'm surprised. I really like JJ Abrams. Agree that we need more to happen.

I like the look and feel of it and the graphics, but I'm still not engaged. I think I'd rather the story be about the plane incident and not her boyfriend. I dunno.

Yeah, the odd camera angles, the location identifiers and the whole look of it is very similar to Alias, which I really liked.

I don't think the plot is one that can grab you in the first hour.

I saw the Pre-Air but not the pilot episode. I'll look for that tonight or tomorrow.

There is a very, VERY tired plot device that I won't name, but there have been far too many trips to the well for it, and I wish writers would forego any more of that dirty water.

As far as the boyfriend goes, while I don't care for that much Personal Stuff, he is more than that, at least in the P-A.

There will be a constant running story, but like other series, each show will have it's own story as well. That may make it tolerable for me.

I forgot to set the ReplayTV to record it. Oh well, I'm sure I'll be able to find it online, via ReplayTV IVS, or download it from iTunes if the general consensus is that it is worthwhile.

OK, I see that about the boyfriend, finally. It is starting to get interesting.

I'll give it another week, but too many things look too familiar (and I really don't watch many shows of this genre). Good boss? Bad boss? Heroine in the know but not really in the know. Boyfriend situation. Odd corporation.

For those who missed it tonight, they just ran an ad that there will be an "encore performance" Sunday night.

Seems like a hybrid of LOST and the X-Files. The music when they are about to reveal something sounds just like LOST. I think it may be more interesting now that we have had the set-up, we'll see. It may get taped if there is competition on another network in this time slot. One of these days I will break down and get a DVR.

If you are already LOST fans (like myself) then you are already used to things NOT happening. smiling smiley
I thought it was decent - the opening scene, explosion, and Josh Jackon's creative use of a coffee
mug were high points.

Yes, I am definitely a Lost fan, but the characters keep me engaged and drew me in from the pilot episode. Right now, I'm having a hard time warming up to anyone on Fringe other than Joshua Jackson's character.

Alias moved TOO fast sometimes. It was hard to keep the players straight without a scorecard. Lost moves way too SLOW most times. I hope Fringe can find a happy balance.

It's coming on again Sunday night for those who missed it.

It was heavily plugged on Hulu.com the past couple of days while watching Firefly & I felt compelled to check it out.

The cast is pretty good: tall bald man has been on CSI: Miami, tragically hip lawyer for Boston Legal a couple of seasons past, woolly headed FBI assistant did those Strayer University commercials that played incessantly a while back. Pacy from Dawson's Creek is all grown up & seems to have good chemistry with the FBI agent. Sadly enough, I saw the gimmick with her boyfriend coming from a mile away & I'm usually oblivious to stuff like that.

I doubt it'll make my list of Must See TV. While I did enjoy it, I never watch anything on Fox simply because it's Fox.

That was the first thought I had when I walked in the room while my wife was watching. "Oh, it's Denethor." I wonder if he has any more of those juicy plum tomahtoes.

Stink. Stank. Stunk.

ONLY because its Abrams, I'll give it another shot next week. If this had come from anybody else, I would label it stupid, hack, badly acted bad television and would never tune in again.

Too bad, I was hoping for another winner. Oh well, there's still Dollhouse to look forward to.

X-Files meets X-Files without that whole "charismatic leads with chemistry" thing.

So far, its only excuse for existing seems to be to provide Lance Reddick with a post-Wire paycheck.

dm,

Tivo'd it last night. Woke up at 4:30 this morning. Watched about ten minutes before falling asleep until 5:30 am. Went back to it and watched a few more minutes before falling asleep again. Not sure how many minutes it took this time but when I woke up at 6:30 or so, I deleted it and watched Eureka and the first few minutes of America's Test Kitchen before getting out of bed to start my morning. I won't be wasting anymore time with Fringe. Then again, it did make an excellent sleep aid.

I thought they said it is repeating Sunday. . .

. . .it was o.k. but I will continue to watch because it is J.J. Abrams. .. some shows take some time to get into a groove. . .

I kind of lost all objectivity because I got lost in Anna Torv's beautiful eyes (and other attributes). Oh my!
