Experience with the US Embassy in Manila?

Long story short... I was married there April 2005. A K3 Visa usually should take
only about 5 months to bring someone to the US. Of course this isnt the case now. We are
waiting on the final step of my wife receiving a K3 packet from the Embassy. They say
they mailled it Dec.22,05 along with a copy to me. My copy arrived around Feb.1st. I was
actually in the Phils at the time, but my brother got it.This packet has my wifes interview
dates within it and that was supposed to be Jan.30th. Obviously too late. I called the Embassy
when I got home(they charge $20 per call) and asked what we are to do. They said to fax certain
info for a rescheduling date. I've faxed them everyday since Feb14th. My called also on Feb.27th,
she was told they never recieved any faxes. I faxed from work and home, and now it has been
faxed by my wife as well, anyone experience anything from these guys?(the Embassy)........Apple stuff coming now....
So I left my iBook G3 900 there with my wife. It had been flawless till I brought it there. Of course
now it is having the imfamous Logic Board problems. We will wait until she is here to take it to Apple and hope they fix it. Apparently the logic board problem stems from holding the iBook with
just your left hand in the front, eventually cracking something on the logic board itself. Possilbly the ATI chip connections. Here's the fun part, C clamping the left side to a desk has made the iBook run without problems, cool, she has a Apple comp to use now.
Side note, has anyone used video iChat over a standard modem connection?
Have a Fun Sunday All, tomorrow is Monday. Gnite

Funny Refurb, sort of. Not sure if I am offended yet. Are you saying I should smother the US Embassy employees in a shipping container? Maybe so. I'll ask next time I call smiling smiley

A friend had a similar situation, called his congressman and got things going a bit faster.
He was in the Navy at the time, they were no help.
Congressmans office called the embassy, papers were found, faxed, and problem solved, 2 days or so.
Good luck!
