A few days ago, I posted of my issues with attachments from Mail.app 2.1.3 not getting to PC users. See here: [forums.macresource.com]

I resolved it by going using Thunderbird to send out my emails with attachments. My question is does anyone know if the attachment issue would go away if I upgraded to OS X 10.5 and got Mail.app 3.xx? I haven't upgraded from Tiger to Leopard as I didn't really see the need. I'm using a G5 Dual 1.8mHz tower.

Thanks for any insight you can give me.

I have my doubts that Mail 3 will fix this. Not sure what could be causing the problem, aside from the things others have already suggested. I exchange files with some very technically challenged PC people, and generally have no problems with Tiger Mail in that regard. Once someone reported that a link didn't work, but this same link worked for other recipients.

Again, do you have web server space available?

At this time, I'm not really set up to use web server space but I'm really just trying to figure out what causes this. Since Thunderbird works, I can switch over to using it for occasions that I run into issues but that's not the most convenient way to do it. Since I mostly deal with PC users and I have three that are not receiving my attachments (out of 48), it would be preferable to use one email app. only. If I have to, I'll move everything to Thunderbird. I'm just used to Mail.app and would prefer sticking with it.

Never had an issue sending attachments via any version of Mail. And other than two people, all of them use pc's. My guess is that there is something wrong with your Mail app. Have you tried reinstalling it?
