Anyone else love Sea Salt and Vinegar Potato Chips?
Posted by: Paul F.

Picked up a bag of Kettle brand Sea Salt and Vinegar Potato Chips on my way home from work.

My friend not-so-affectionately refers to these as "battery acid chips".

I can't eat too many before my mouth burns..

I'm gonna drink another liter of water now.

Mmmmm....

My daughter loves Salt and Vinegar chips. her preferred brand is Terra. They are a bit thicker than most chips. I like them too, but I'm trying to stay from all forms of chips. My personal devil, as far as chips anyway, has always been barbecue, especially the sweet barbecue kind. But, as they say, a minute on the lips a lifetime on the hips, or something like that. smiling smiley

Oh yeah! Tim's has some good ones too. May be avail down in california.

I accidently squeezed the air out if a bag of Tim's jalepeno chips while looking into it, and I "maced" myself.

I am NOT brave enough to try the habanero ones....

They always remind me of the time I spent six-months in Canada teaching at the sub base.

<not good fer me.

LOL! No kiddin' they ain't!

This is the first time in maybe a year in a half I've broken down and bought a bag... They take me too much water in, and too many trips to the head to get rid of the water later... and I STILL wake up with a swollen tongue and a headache.

Every once in a while, it's WORTH it!

I like salt and vinegar potato chips, and I like Kettle Chips... but Kettle Chips' Sea Salt & Vinegar isn't quite my favorite of the genre. Don't know what is "off" about the taste, but there are better out makes of salt & vinegar out there.

There's something in all those Salt and Vinegar Potato makes
my tongue hurt if I eat too many but I love them anyway but I
have to watch mt salt intake. One other thing and I've heard
this from one other person. If I eat a bunch of those I get sick
within a week usually a Sinus Infection. I know that sounds
weird but it's happened to me about 3 times. I haven't eaten
any in quite a while. It could just be a coincidence besides
I'm still getting Sinus Infections.

There are several brands of the "all natural, organic" variety here in the Happy Valley.
Love'em also. The best way to eat them paul, is with beer. That's your problem.

Why settle only for sodium and starch when you can have alcohol too?

I love chips (french fries) and crisps (american chips) with salt and vinegar on them. However, those chemicals that pass for salt & vinegar flavoring are pretty unpleasant after about the third chip/crisp.

I cannot recall the last time something like that happened in politics or religion." (1987) -- Carl Sagan

I need to try some different brands...
'Cause the Kettle chips taste the LEAST artificial of the ones I've tried.

I can't remember the brand... but I tried one bag that tasted JUST like plastic... with salt and some battery acid on 'em. Blech.

Get a slicer and bake vegetable chips, brushing the pan with olive to keep them from sticking, then sprinkle with malt vinegar. Avoid the transfats.

Man, don't get me started on the salt and black pepper Kettle chips. Those are perhaps the most addictive snack compound I have yet to run across! Even the big bag doesn't last very long around these parts...

Trader Joe's has a good sea salt & vinegar brand, but I cannot remember the brand... not TJ, I think.
I usually do not have the self-comntrol to stop when I should, and end up with burning tongue and ferocious thirst.

I am so boring. The only potato chips I like are plain ones. Or else rippled plain ones. I can't get into flavored chips at all.

Nope, you're the only person in the world, and all the companies make them just for you (do I have nothing better to do - YES, but this is more fun).
