Anyone have Firefox in X with a maxed out CPU?

Strange experience using Firefox in X where it slows down to a crawl. Checked processes and the CPU is maxed out at 100%. Uninstalled it, reinstalled and the same problem is happening.

Any ideas about this one? Thanks.

Ive been on/off with firefox. There was a time when I would launch it and the program would cycle on/off by itself. Had to force quit.

Version 1.5 working fine right now.

Upgrade to 1.5? I use 1.0.7 or whatever is the latest 1.0 and, like a lot of people, have that HUGE memory leak problem.

I just quit and restart, for either the CPU or the memory problem.
