My trusty ol' Canon A80 has had it, how about the A590IS ?

My old friend the Canon A80 is taking pics that are all pink and green,
washed out. I don't want to spend a bundle but need something that
will take decent point and shoot stuff. At first only the first couple shots
turned out bad but now they're all bad. CC has the A590 for $129 this
week. My Sony monster camera is great but it's too big to take
everywhere.

PS: I'd like to have had a flip LCD like the A80 but it looks like $400 to get that again.

Got a 590IS for my Mom. After I tried it out during a tutorial for her, I wanted one ! I do like the flip screen on my A620 though.

I really like that photo. Maybe you should keep using it and selling the prints as art.

That's why they have the ongoing sensor recall... will net you a new camera or a nicely repaired A80.

Mine has a nice dent in the top metal shell that I did right after I got, will they
frown upon that. I'm going call them and see what they say.

Edit: Just got off the phone with Canon and they're sending all the info
to return it. He said the dent won't matter unless they see that it's
directly related to the problem. He was very nice, said turn around time
was 7-10 days.

A big thanks goes to "tronnei" for posting the info and link.

yeah, canon will fix it for free. They fixed my A70 about 2 years ago, but now it's acting up again. I will try to send it in one more time.

My pleasure.

I had my A70 fixed under this program and it continues to perform like a champ.
