or just young mac users that are just getting around to the Forum. What is happening on the "dark side". Somehow I keep forgetting about it and it isn't mentioned hardly. Are many Forum members posting on there, too?

It isn't that Google "Loves" this forum.
This forum is setup to be conducive to Google.
This forum is set up to gather clicks, "Clicks = Money" for Vendors.
This site was set up, and is run by a Vendor.
No, not a secret, but a lot of ForumFolk think that this site was set up by some sort of Benevolent Benefactor out of the goodness of their heart.

lots of people who have been banned or who have gotten a well deserved bad reputation just set up a new e-mail address or use a web proxy to block their real identity and just keep coming back. Mostly on the political side. Easy to spot the serial crazies. Their rants always have the same feel. They behave that way here because in real life they are ignored and unloved because of their poor behavior and social skills.

Now, we freely welcome anyone who wants to become a valued and contributing member to our little "society" None of us are perfect. I sure as heck am not. Even we need that odd uncle, or wacky cousin. They make life interesting. Now when the relative with poor hygiene and Tourettes scares the kids and gets aggressive, ruining the place for everyone, they need to go. Too many don't abide by that.

Now that's "commitment". No, I'm not a crazy, I just don't post much.

My gut tells me that the repeat offenders are here because they get kicked out of every where else they go. Sometimes I think we are way too tolerant here.

I always considered Rusty to be the Grouchy Odd Uncle of this group.

And while the forum may be to the benefit of the sponsor (a vendor), that's okay with me. What gives value to a forum is the content and information provided to questions and this forum has that in spades. The old forum was good during its' heyday. Unfortunately, the people who ran that forum forgot that it's the participants that gave value to the site.

Not grouchy, I just don't mix up reality with fantasy like you do.

Rusty - I don't think that comment was meant to be a negative, or as negative as you took it. You do tend to use a 2x4 a bit more often than others. I think there was quite a bit more respect in that comment than you saw.
