Serious hail!

I have never seen hail like this, some the size of tennis balls. It sounded like I was getting my house re-roofed by 80-90 people all hammering at the same time.. Which will probably have to happen in the next few weeks. Damn, here come the sirens again.

Just put on a copy of Day After Tomorrow and relax...

We just had the pea-sized stuff here again about an hour ago, though nothing like yesterday's one-hour hammering… the storm now leaving us here on the west coast is a cold one. Lots of thunderstorms … best wishes to those in its path this week.

It just started pouring harder than I can remember here in Chicago, about 10 minutes ago. I've been hearing what sounds like hail off and on all night.
Must be that damn russian weather machine again . . .

I suffer from the same sensitivity that you do. A few nuggets of wisdom were shared with me and I'm "trying" to incorporate them into my life. First, remember that nobody can hurt your feelings unless you let them. You can always reject what is being forced on you emotionally.
Second, nothing changes unless you change it. If you don't want the behavior to be repeated then you need to take action. Otherwise the kid has learned that his behavior is the way to get things done, because everyone lets him get away with it.
In the meantime I sympathize because I've been there.

Now two tornados on the ground within 5 miles of me. No time for pics right now! Time to round up the dog and head for the shelter.

We're out of the closet now. The only good things about these storms is they are moving at over 70MPH and they haven't knocked out our power/cable.

Thanks for the good thoughts.

Oooh... pretty. A hailstorm in a tornado - like living in a snowglobe. All you need now is an earthquake.

Yeah - we had it all over the KC region yesterday, repeated tornado sightings and some folks getting the baseball sized hail. Luckily we didn't get it right here!

Sure is early in the season for this crap. Makes me wonder how bad spring will be this year? Good thing I find this sort of stuff exciting, as long we're not getting the monster hail. Yuck...
