hey, 10% speed boost with one of those.

I put a 1 meg L2 into our 8600/200 and there was almost a 20% speed boost. That was phenominal back in '97.

Larry, what's the difference between miniStacks you have up? Product numbers differ but page descriptions look the same:

OWC Item # NWTFWU2MSOB [eshop.macsales.com]

OWC Item # NWTFWU2MSNL
[eshop.macsales.com]

Never mind - second link is an extra $7.50 because of a "glitch"?! (the glitch is no NewerTech logo on top of product!)

Just bought the Aluminum, dual-drive, RAID enclosure (the open box version) for $80 [eshop.macsales.com] - much cheaper than two separate enclosures considering I refuse to buy cheap enclosures.

You shall like it Drew. I've had it for a couple months now, though not using it as a Raid case, just an external dual drive fw case.

That's my plan for it too blusub - just a dual FW case for the MDD.

By the way, what subie do you drive? I've got a fully loaded '02 Legacy GT Limited. Boy I wish I had the money for an '06 GT, but maybe in another few years - they're SO SWEET!

you got it.

the 'NL' units are brand new, never opened by customer, etc - and without logo (although we understand that many of them actually do have a logo... but we transferred the suspect range of them vs. having to open them all up).

The OB = open box.

The ATI cards with rebate have that noted in their descriptions. Retail 9200, 9600, and 9800 models - while they last if still even there.

You should have a compitition... go to a local art school and have them make statues out of them. Sell the art for charity. Take a huge writeoff..

Hi Larry,

I think if you are going sell "Hot Sway Enclosures" you should do it on an adult site.

Best Wishes,

Mitch

Sway... Ooops. smiling smiley

And on the Cache cards - we've actually used a bunch for Christmas/holiday ornament giveaways. Had the local Pioneer Center do the work. They work with people who need a little extra help. We give them jobs when we can and support them in other ways as well.

Likely the fate of the remaining cache cards too. smiling smiley
