What will Christmas treescost on Dec 26?

This is the last year for the old tree, so I'll be shopping. What percent off can I expect on artificial trees come Dec26 at Lowes or Home Depot?

Decent ones are costing $125+ now, will they get to $50?

I would think that 50% off would be pretty common . . . ?

Stat's, a local store that has a major Christmas decorations inventory sells out their remaining items at 50% off starting on the 26th.

They have the "best" artificial trees I've ever seen and they're a real bargain when they go on sale.

The closest Stat's to me is in Capo beach but they have several other stores in Orange County.

Where do you live, Ombligo?

Stat's has a great deal but that is bit far to drive... I'm in Florida. LOL

Thanks grim, I may check it out tomorrow but may be worth waiting for 75% (hey I'm cheap)

Target will eventually mark their stuff down to 75% off, but the trees are usually gone by then. They usually have wrapping paper and stuff left for the 90% off markdown-that's what I wait for. I'm a predatory shopper. Ask your Lowe's, if they are 50% off now they may mark them down to 75% off on Christmas eve or at least the day after.

I got a great Black Friday deal on a 6.5 ft pre-lit tree at Lowe's for $25. I had a bigger tree and wanted to down size and not have to put on the lights so I bought it. It looks just perfect in our dining room and was easy to put up. So, if you miss out this year check the Black Friday sales next year. Home Depot had them on sale on Black Friday, too.

Florida? Do you have the same problem I have about getting in touch with the "Christmas spirit" when the weather is so warm?

Compared to what I grew up with back in NY, the winter here is balmy as are many of the Southern Californians.

French fries from Nathan's are on my Christmas wish list :^)

I grew up here so have never knew a different style of Christmas. Of course I also consider 60 degrees to be cold.

Maybe that is why I'm a scrooge who hates the holidays. The only reason for the new tree is the wife and kid make a big deal.

Lowe's trees now 50% off as mentioned above, but history shows they will all be gone by December 26.
