Calling all applescript gurus

I'm running 10.4.5 on a mini.

I'd like to find/create an applescript that changes my energy settings in system preferences.

Ideally, I'd like the script to run when a certain application is opened.

Is this possible?

Specifics:

When a certain application is open (or if I have to run the script manually, that's fine too), I'd like my energy settings set to never sleep and never put the display to sleep.

Upon quitting the application (or again, this could be done manually by running the applescript), I'd like to set the energy settings to fall asleep at 10 minutes, and put the display to sleep at 5 minutes.

Any direction or help would be greatly appreciated - I'm an applescript newb, and in doing some googling, it seems as though this is at least an intermediate sort of thing, at least in knowing what commands to use.

Many thanks!

I'd try recording that action.

Yes, but a process would have to always be monitoring your machine, waiting for the open event; I would probably approach this by having the script call for launch in the first place. You can then put that script app in the dock and launch it just like launching the original app.
