Bunch of AMCs around here.

We once had an el cheapo pay Channel Z. Every year they would screen the nominated films for consideration by local (LA) Academy members and we unwashed subscribers would get the benefit of seeing them all at no extra charge without ever leaving home.

Best was they would screen the Director and other nominees along with best picture, so for about a month there was always something new and engaging on Channel Z.

Z went on to become a sports outlet for Dodger and Angel games. We no longer subscribe.
