Idea proposal for Monday 2-16-09. A forum "Free item Day" Date: February 11, 2009 03:20PM |
I have been the recipient of some nice items on this forum. I would like to give away some items I have laying around for spring cleaning. Anyone willing to participate, I will be posting a thread on 2-16, this Monday for free items you want to give away. Just let people know what it is and agree on who pays shipping.

We've had the "Pay it Forward" threads on some Car Forums I participate in.
First to respond gets it (shipping due on bigger items) but the deal is, they now have to post something up in order to keep the process going.
I say skip any expectation of reciprocation. Just make it about "stuff should get used."

I would say keep it as simple as possible. Along the lines of I have X,Y,Z, PM me if you want it, would be my suggestion. All the shipping details should be worked out via PMs.
Remember, everything should be free, except for actual shipping. We cannot have anything being bought or sold on the Forum, but giving away should be OK.

I'm in, but the last time I sent out free stuff (even paid for s&h) to people I didn't even get a postcard in return (waaaah 
), but just a postcard would have been nice. I did get a thank you though, so not all is lost, and I still like ya'.
