Wy can't any of these big discount parts store set up shop OUTSIDE of southern california? Even with the tax, newegg and such are usually the best deal going. My only complaints against both zipzoomfly and newegg - besides the absurd names is their packing of hard drives and other delicate things. Not packed well enough. If you send on of those packages on to warranty service, they'd reject the package as unsafe for shipping hard drives.
I ordered two drives from Nowdirect.com. They shipped same day and were packed in a box meant for 5 drives - designed for 5 drives. My two drives had several inches of foam packing protecting them.
