Ripped from the Lem- Swap list:

Either the MoBo or the processor is fried I just get highspeed fans
a few seconds after attempting to boot.

has the 'quiet' power supply installed no drives/RAM or video card

so $40 OBO for a good PSU, case and DVD drive

local pickup only Portland, Maine
would like this gone ASAP!

There may have been $40.00 worth of aluminum and tin in there a year ago when scrap metal prices were sky high.

If the PS is working it's worth a lot more than $40!

Mine is the same except 867mhz. I can't start it up. I replaced the battery a few months ago but now the light glows but it won't start like last time. Frustrating.

That quiet power supply could go for $100 or so on eBay. Getting one for $40 would be quite a deal.

I've sold "non-quiet" power supplies for well over $100.

I have what should be a working MOBO for a G4 MDD that anyone is welcome to have for free. I bought it on eBay a couple of years ago when my dual 867 went south and I was in a pinch. By the time it arrived my G4 seemed to have fixed itself so I never actually installed it. I have since given away the computer but still have the motherboard in a box in the garage. If I recall correctly I think the board was a dual 1GHz and I thought it would fit in my machine (it might have FW800 as well but I don't recall).

If anyone is interested let me know and I can pull it out and verify the part number.
