About to pull the trigger at tirerack.com...

Any suggestions on what to make sure I do when I order? I'm having the tires shipped directly to the installer. I can't seem to find any current coupon codes, one of those would be nice.

Looks like I'm going to end up spending ~$600.

Make sure they ship from a warehouse close to you. That may make a big difference in shipping costs.

It looks like your getting just tires, and not rims. If you were getting rims, I'd say make sure you get the lug nuts included (they forgot mine on one order) and the right size (yes, that's right).

I actually got tires and rims, mounted and balanced, shipped to my P.O. Box.

Took 'em home, put 'em on. I was a happy camper.

Yeah, the other warehouses are almost 2x as much. Shipping is still $45 though.

I'm just getting tires. I bought custom wheels (17") and tires for the summer, and have winter tires on my stock rims (16".)

Check Tires.com

I've found their prices to be the same or less and free shipping.

Tires.com doesn't have any winter tires in the size I need. Thanks anyway.

Take your delieverd plus installation cost to local NTW or Discount Tires and see if they will meet or beat. Mine do about half the time.

Mine are being installed by a local shop. I'd probably buy the tires from them even if they didn't work with tirerack. Of course, if I can get them cheaper and have them install ...

costco or bj's will do tire rotations for the life of the car and fix all flats.

Really worth it, imo.

NTW matched their price... and then ended up ordering from Tire Rack. Whatever.
