Source for elastic closures for books?

We do a student datebook every year and this year the designer mentioned it might be cool to have an elastic closure for the books, like on Moleskine books:

But we don't want the elastic to be part of the cover, like a Moleskine, we just want to purchase the enclosures as a separate item that you would put around the book when not using it.

I have been Googling in an effort to find a source and it is not going all that well. I got to wondering if somebody here might have an answer. We would consider big rubberbands if they weren't so tight that they make the (perfect bound, soft cover) books curl. Or maybe the sort of bands that they wrap up vegetables with? Thanks for any ideas.

Something like this? Levenger book bungee.

Edited because the Levenger link is funky. Go to their home page and search for "bungee".

A little larger than we were picturing but this is the closest thing I have seen to what they want. I will definitely look into these. Thank you!

I make sketchbooks, and I use hairbands -- 6 for a buck at the dollar store, and many diff colors!
