InDesign question: when numlock gets turned off, how do I turn it back on?

Sometimes InDesign treats the number pad as if numlock was off. But there is no numlock on Macs. How do I get it so it recognizes the numbers in the number pad again?

I believe the 'clear' key acts as the NUM lock
