Blogger question

Will the Blogger software allow me to notify subscribers whenever a new blog post has been made? Or better yet, will it notify them once a week about what's new?

If not, what software/host do I need to use to do this?

Not that I know how to do it but I believe a RSS (Really Simple Syndication) feed might work for you. Your subscribers could follow you in Mail app or another RSS app.

Wordpress does that. The myriad of free plugins make it very customizable, and it's done very easily (no geek speak needed)

Also, if someone chooses to "follow" your blog, they will see when you post a new entry when they log onto their account.
