Type on a circle in photoshop...need help

Using PS CS.

I have made a circle path for copyright materials for a dvd project.

I cannot get the type to work the way I want it.

I need the tops of the letter charaters as the baseline on the circle.

For example: Check out most commercial dvd the copyright goes from left to right under the imaginary path. With the tops of the letter running along the circle baseline.

I want the type to read curving from left to right under the circular path. Not over like a rainbow.

I know I did not explain this very well but once you see it you will understand.

If I understand you correct you need to adjust the baseline shift -XXpt to get the desired look.

Nope, you did not understand me. sad smiley

Baseline shift only drops the type below the path but does not change the orientation.

Take a look at a commercial dvd, the copyright line: the tops of the letters face the center of the dvd.

You will understand, once you look at a commercial dvd.

Here is an example:

Aladdin "This product is authorized..." copy

Figured it out. For those that might want to know:

All you need to do is double click the text layer to highlight the text then move the mouse pointer onto the text, hold in alt button(pc keyboard) or cloverleaf button (mac keyboard and the mouse pointer should turn into what looks like a capital "I" with an arrow in the centre, now still holding CTRL hold in the left mouse button and drag the text either towards the centre of the disc or to the outside depending where you want it.

That simple.

Thanks for all the help everybody.

aka "splat" or (if you've got an apple keyboard) the "open apple" key

there weren't any Macs with "closed apple" keys, were there?

Interesting link with the on-disc artwork... wonder what sort of person would use a site like that... hmmmm...

Probably someone being extremely thorough in his production of backup DVDs for his personal collection.

Since I don't know how to post a file, I had to find an example.

Sorry, all of my mac keyboards have broken (pos) so I now use pc keyboards. IT has been so long I could not remeber what that key was called.

I would have just called it alt but that really would have confused some people.

cloverleaf was th best I could come up with.

Hell, my keyboard has a windows symbol on the option key. sad smiley
