Here is a similar one from Microcenter: [www.microcenter.com]

(they sometimes have 'em on sale for $0.99 each, or possibly the single outlet version like what you linked to)

thanks. also found some at Surplus Computers w/ free shipping.

i might call the microcenter B&M here. it's not really near me but the savings might be worth a trip to the north metro atlanta area. (i live south metro)

Yeah, for small stuff like this, sometimes you actually save $$$ with a B&M, because you have to factor in the shipping that an etailer will charge, and the tax charged by a B&M isn't liable to be very much.

We call em wall wart removers. You can get these little 6" extension cords from radio shack. They have 3 connectors on the female end and are very cheap. I connect 3 wall warts to each of these. That's what I use. It's absurd to get heavy duty 3 prong connectors for what are essentially light duty 2 prong plugs.

monoprice and pccables.com are 2 of the best

a few years ago i ordered a dozen 15' USB and a few 6' FW cables -- i have never had to "look for" a cable since then.

prob about $40 total =)

Firewire cable prices are INSANE at any brick & mortar store. Many stores will make more actual profit from selling a cable than they will on the actual device you're going to use it with.

I needed a 4-4 pin FW cable, thought maybe Circuit City would have a reasonable price, NOT. Forget it, I got it through monoprice.com, that and some extra USB cables, SHIPPED, all for less than the stores here wanted for one cable.
