RIP, June Pointer of Pointer Sisters

The youngest of the Pointer Sisters has died. June Pointer was 52. She and her sisters were known for hits in the 1970s and 1980s that included "I'm So Excited," "Fire" and "Jump For My Love."

Don't take it personal. Nobody is beating on you. Why do you think that?
I've thanked you many-a-time for your posting of some cool techno info.

As for this thread - I don't mind. Just more fodder for a good one-liner. Or in the case
above, a good 4-liner.

I saw them in concert in Bloomington, MN in '86, at the hockey arena where the Mall of America is now located. They sounded great but the Nazi ushers escorted anybody out who got swept up in the music. I knew then that I could never live in a city where you were expected to sit quietly during a concert.
